Welcome Message
Closed on 1/15/21. Thank you for the support! Welcome to Ethereal Evanna, an unofficial fansite dedicated to Irish IFTA nominated actress and animal rights activist Evanna Lynch, who is most recognisable as Luna Lovegood in the film adaptations of the Harry Potter series. In 2016, she starred in her first lead role in the critically acclaimed Irish indie drama My Name Is Emily, which earned her an IFTA nomination for Best Actress. In 2018, she made her Off-Broadway debut in the revival of Enda Walsh's Disco Pigs. In 2020, she was slated to appear in the all-female revival of Hamlet as Ophelia at The Watermill Theatre (the run is currently cancelled due to COVID-19). Tracking #evylynchedit and #elynchedit. We follow back from our primary blogs. *If you want to reshare our edits to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or elsewhere, we appreciate that, though please credit this blog. Thank you.*

Everything Ends

ethereal-evanna:

Greetings everyone. Hope y’all are doing fine. First off, I have a little announcement to make. These last few months or so have been incredibly busy. Truthfully, I haven’t been actively logged in since June 12th; occasionally, I have been checking up on the blog every three weeks. As it stands, life happens. I am currently in the process of working on an animated project (I’m afraid I can’t share too many details about that currently). On top of that, I will be working a part-time summer job. The majority of my time will be dedicated elsewhere. The admins here have put a lot of hard work into this blog for the last five years; however, due to outside commitments and not seeming to have enough energy to keep it going anymore, we think closing the blog at the end of the year appears to be in our best interests (the blog will not be deleted, although it will remain up as an archive). Emily (the original admin) and I would like to thank everyone for their unwavering support. I will still be around on Tumblr for the time being and may still post about Evanna from time to time on my main blog (as I have been on this site for almost 11 years now). Presently, all of my side blogs are on an indefinite hiatus. There are still some unpublished edits lying around in my drafts for this blog, so I’ll be sure to queue those in the coming weeks. It has been a pleasure creating content here, we thank you all for the follows and reblogs, and I wish all of you the best as we part ways.

Sincerely your admins,

Emily and J.D.

msevylynch Beauty always brings me back ❤️ Whenever I have poured too much of myself in something or someone and it feels like I’m empty, like I’ve scratched the bottom and there is nothing left, I always get up and paint my face in rouge and emerald and sparkly bronzes and it’s as if I’m colouring myself back in with every stroke, reclaiming her in polychromatic defiance of the the feeling of nothingness. There she is, I think, blinking back under lashes and shimmer, pleased to see her again, looking herself. This is why beauty will never feel vapid to me. It’s always been a strong statement of ‘hello I’m here and I won’t be overlooked’. 🙂 (x)

“When my mother died, she took away the light. They told me she’d gone to other places, better places… but I knew she hadn’t. She always knew where I was, no matter where I was in the house. Now, I couldn’t feel her anywhere. They told me she’d gone somewhere, but if she had I would have gone there, too. She was nowhere, and no one knew where I was. When you frown underwater, it makes a noise. You cannot cry. Sometimes, I can hear it, like a hurricane, like an underwater wind.”

“Have I had any disastrous relationships? Oh yes: most of them. Actually, now that I come to think of it: all of them.”
